Kurt Cobain’s cardigan from ‘MTV Unplugged” up for auction

The swamp-hued cardigan worn by Kurt Cobain at Nirvana’s legendary 1993 “MTV Unplugged” taping can now be yours – for a bid of at least $20,000 in an auction of hundreds of top rock relics later this week. The vintage keepsake – a blend of acrylic, mohair and Lycra that was sold by a brand called Manhattan – was donated by a family friend of the Nirvana lead singer.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) – Triple Crown winner American Pharoah’s last race drew the highest television rating in two decades for the Breeders’ Cup telecast. Saturday’s coverage on NBC averaged a 2.6 rating and 6 share. The network said Tuesday that’s the best since 1995 for Cigar’s 12th consecutive victory.
