Jon Stewart to do ‘short form’ comedy for HBO

From “The Daily Show” to HBO. Barely a month after he retired from the grind of late night comedy, Jon Stewart has inked a four-year deal with HBO to create “short-form digital content” for the network. HBO called the deal “the next phase of Stewart’s groundbreaking career.” “Jon Stewart led a revolution that changed the face of TV comedy on the ‘Daily Show,’” said Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming.
